 Origin: Shea butter is  extracted from the Shea  (Karite tree) and the seed is crushed, boiled, and oil is than extracted from the the seed. It congeals and thats how we get the shea butter.

Shea butter is good for healing scars and stretch marks, treating ezema and psorasis because the fatty acid content of the oil is so heavy it is recommended specifically for dry skin.

But the other oils that are included now only add to make the shea butter a smoother consistency and prevent the shea butter from hardening back to its raw state.
